The IAIP membership directory is issued every three years, at the time of the Conference. With the spread of electronic communication, many members now have e-mail addresses which make it easier and less costly to stay in touch and share information. By sharing information, we are able to recognize diverse perspectives within Adlerian Psychology. This in no way diminishes the overall mission, but demonstrates how different resources and opportunities can reinforce and even strengthen the Adlerian movement.

IAIP Section to Meet The IAIP Business and Organizations Section will meet in Turin, Italy, November 24-26, 2000. All ae invited to the featured program, “The Adlerian Approach to Business and Organizations: Social Competence as a form of Strategic Intervention.” The program will be held at the Adlerian School of Management, with a social event on the Friday evening, and two full day sessions to include presentations and discussions of papers as well as a round table session. Participants are invited to sent an abstract of their intended paper by May 31, 2000, to IVIP – Business and Organization Meeting, Adlerian School of Management, Via San Domenico 1, I – 10122 Torino, Italy. Erratum

  In the last letter we gave information provided by Mária Kenessey on a three-tier training program to help acculturate refugees. The program is being offered in Switzerland, not in Hungary as suggested in the article.  


 

ICASSI
The International Committee for Adlerian Summer Schools and Institutes (ICASSI) will be held in July in Zuoz, near St. Moritz in Switzerland,providing an opportunity for professional and personal development in an international setting. The courses for ICASSI 2000 range from introductory to advanced, and include such topics as Adlerian Technology in the Workplace, Parenting and Counseling of Teenagers, Couple, Therapy, Loss and Grief, and Implementing Adlerian Ideas in the Schools

A typical day will include a plenary session, a lecture and demonstration, courses during the morning and afternoon, and special interest sessions. The evenings will be time for social and recreational activities. Families are encouraged to attend, and there will be special programs for children and teenagers supervised by multi-lingual and multi-cultural leaders. The tuition cost is $600 (US) for both weeks, and $450 (US) for a single week.; information from www.icassi.org, for detailed information.
